“Science4Business – Science for Business” – Task No. 1 “Development Incubator”
A 10-entity consortium of Kraków-based research organizations and universities, along with Technology Transfer Centers and Special Purpose Vehicles operating within these institutions, is carrying out one of the largest and most important initiatives in Poland supporting technology transfer and commercialization of scientific research results — a strategically significant project in partnership with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Science4Business – Science for Business

Project Objective
The main objective of the project is to increase the effectiveness of activities conducted by Technology Transfer Centers and Special Purpose Vehicles belonging to research organizations in the area of collaboration with business, including supporting the commercialization of R&D results.
Description of Activities
The activities carried out under the project and tasks include:
- Mapping the potential of research organizations
- Marketing of technological and research offerings
- Conducting industrial research and experimental development work related to research results with identified commercialization potential
- Access to knowledge and development of tools for teams involved in technology transfer
Target Group
The project is aimed at research organizations and universities, as well as Technology Transfer Centers and Special Purpose Vehicles operating within these units, as well as scientists, researchers, and PhD students involved in research with implementation potential, and the broadly understood socio-economic environment, including recipients of innovative solutions and institutions supporting innovation and economic development.
Main Results
The main results of the project will stem from the work of brokerage and scientific teams focused on increasing the technological and economic readiness levels of selected research outcomes with high commercialization potential. The planned project results include:
- implemented R&D projects,
- commercialized R&D work,
- submitted patent applications,
- created spin-off or spin-out companies for the purpose of technology transfer,
- concluded license agreements, sales agreements, research service agreements, and other forms of cooperation between the scientific community and the business environment,
- generated revenue from the sale or licensing of R&D results developed within research organizations.

EU funding and total project value: 296,700,000 PLN
EU funding and total project value for the Consortium: 29,004,904 PLN
The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the European Funds for a Modern Economy Programme for 2021–2027.
